Final Destination
Final Destination
Ever since watching Final Destination, I've been a bit paranoid about getting killed by a freak accident. The one scene that I vividly remember is the car accident scene from Final Destionation 2, where the logs from the truck gets loose and fly through the windshield. Whenever I'm driving, I'm super weary of cars/trucks that are carrying something that can potentially be launched at me during an accident. I try to speed up and past them, or change lanes so that I'm not behind them. I know I'm being overly paranoid because the chances of that happening is not very high. Plus, it's not like I've escaped death before. But since I'm only 26 (even though I feel very old), there are many things in life I have yet to experience. Dying this young would really suck. So to secure my chances of not dying young, I've decided to write Death a heartfelt email.
Dear Death,
How are you? I'm writing to you in hopes that I won't have to see you for another 60 years or so. Please don't take this personally. I would love to see you when my time comes, but please don't take me till then. I've only lived a mere 26 years and I have much to do and experience.
I have yet to be Featured on Xanga.I have yet to see my favorite band, Coldplay, in concert.
I have yet to go skydiving and feel the full power of g-force against my face.
I have yet to make my parents really proud.
I have yet to make six figures.
I have yet to conquer procrastination.
I have yet to edit and post all the photos I've taken.
I have yet to stalk Steve Carell and tell him "That's what she said!"
I have yet to travel the globe. I want to eat fresh crepes by the Leaning Tower, watch a sunset on Stonehenge, go dog sledding in Antarctica, ride an elephant in Thailand, see a poison dart frog in it's natural habit in the Amazon Rainforest, take a picture with a fobby peace sign in front of a pyramid, go on an African Safari, and watch the toilet water whirl counter-clockwise in Australia.
Last, and most importantly, I have yet to experience true love. I haven't even been into a serious relationship before. It's not that I don't want to, I just can't seem to find it yet but I'm definitely working on it. Please give me more time.
As you can see, I have many many more miles to go before I sleep. I'm no where close to my final destination, but I do look forward to getting there some day. Until then, please don't visit me. Kthanxbai.
Sincerely,
WuwuIf you would like to email him too, you can do so at death@gmail.com. Just don't ask me where I got his email from.

I like how being featured is listed as number one.
thanks for making me really paranoid now - good thing i've never seen final destination. but i might as well send an email, just in case
way to be emo
LOL that movie is so wack! you're nuts. but devon sawa was hot back in the day haha
ah ive always hated trucks and passing them. as a child there were always news stories about truck wheels flying off and killing ppl. i hope you knocked on wood after writing this
time for getting featured.
that is a good list.
haha, i get that same feeling when i'm driving behind trucks with a whole bunch of long poles/whatever.
i will show you the power of full g-force on your face, it will be true love. there ya go, two things off your list. you can thank me later
i still have nightmares/premonitions from final destination 2. i used to have plenty of re-occuring dreams about death, lobotomies, accidents, and homicides. including wild accidents on the freeways, ejecting bodies flying out of windows, pedestrians getting hit by passing vehicles, planes losing engines during turbulence...
...you name it
Haha loved the featured comment.
yo, im still waiting for them china pics, yo~!
Now I've gotta see that movie.
this reminds me of those stupid chain messages that you get:
if you don't forward this to 489539485724857238947389 people,
you'll die at 315AM by a headless girl who is wearing a white bloody dirty dress
she'll be glaring at you from your ceiling corner through a box...
.......yeah
Your List ! #1-if being featured is #1, death will probably skip you; #2 n/c; #3 is overrated; #4 o come on, they love you; #5 better hurry before inflation ups it to 7 figures; #6- I'll finish these comments later.
@TheTheologiansCafe -
these are in no particular order! that just happened to be #1. -= P
@relishing_absurdity -
oh my...how many times did you watch it?
love is overrated. take the last thing off your list. =)
@CaKaLusa -
it's coming very soon.
That's what she said!
heartfelt indeed!
That movie freaked me out too.
Did you see Final Destination 2?
awww HAHAHAA this is so cute~~~ I dont want to see death soon either
that's a really good list!
you haven't been featured on xanga?? i'm shocked!
omg I am just like you with the whole final destination 2 log scene. Everytime I drive behind a pick-up truck with loose tools or w/e I secretly think back to that scene and get a little nervous. I'm surprise you haven't gotten featured! You definitely write enough entertaining posts to warren one eventually.
i tried to bribe death so i can live up to like 500 years
but it didnt work :[
yeah Final Destination freaks me out. especially the 3rd (or 4th?) sequel, where the roller coaster ride got into a mess. My goodness, that was damn freaky.
whaaat, you've never seen Coldplay in concert?! I saw them at the end of October here in Ohio..it was aaaaa-freakin-mazing! The besttt concert ever.
Hopefully you get to see them sometime!
Lets make the featured thing happen!!! *clicks recommend
good luck in completing everything on the list! : )
final destination 2 or any other horror movies just give me terrible nightmares =S
I have had this same fear of dying young...mine isn't exactly tied to a freak accident but who is counting?
You can die now...
congrats on getting featured.
"I have yet to be Featured on Xanga."
I think Xanga heard your call.
I work at a Catholic Church and hear about people dying every week. Its sad to say the least.
But this week is different. This week, a 22 year old past away.
At 22 is where you BARELY start to live your life. So be thankful to God you have lived 4 more years than him, and obviously you will live more. : ) So I say to you "Live your life!" [I swear I was not thinking of the T.I song until now...]
HAHAHA! I was the EXACT same way after watching Final Destination 3! I was on the freeway, so there were a ton of tractor trailers and it scared the crap out of me! As for dying: I'd like to not do it anytime soon...
You have now been featured. Congrats.
Loved all the Final Destination movies! Good list.
Well, you got one thing off the list. Now death will take a step closer....
I've only seen one Final Destination movie. I think it's the third one with the roller coaster.. After that, I vowed never to so to a tanning salon. I don't think any of the other deaths are very likely, though I do think about the whole loose nail and death on a roller coaster thing, but I still love roller coasters too much to give it up altogether haha. Nice letter though.. I wonder if I wrote a wish list and posted it, would I get featured too? I've yet to get featured too, but lucky you, death is one step closer since you just got featured LOL.
I haven't seen any of the Final Destination movies. If I had, I probably would have gotten freaked out when a bed went flying off the top of a van several cars in front of me one time. Great list btw. Also remember that life isn't gonna wait for you. Now that u and Death are square for now, get out there and live some life!
O damn.... dude I think Death is speeding things up for you... Death just help you get a little closer to it. hahaha.... Good Post!
this is an awesome list-- you're not alone in the whole feeling like stuff is going to crash through your windshield thing. I'm VERY paranoid about that too... especially when the drivers don't have their stuff tied down.
I am REALLY scared of tanning beds since I saw the 3rd one. I've been corresponding with death for many years now, he and I have a close personal friendship going on. I'll put in a good word for you, in case he didn't get your email.
Well, I guess you can cross the first thing off your list now
. Congrats!
Aw, John featured you. He truly loves you, which means you've killed two birds with one stone.
Better paranoid than dead.
Funny how that e-mail reflects exactly what I've yet to do (except go see Coldplay).
Yeah Final Destination was scary lol. I got paranoid after watching the first one.
I've watched those movies a couple of times. I was on a road trip. It made feel uneasy since we were behind trucks with logs. My mom drove past those quickly.
I think Final Destination was made to make people paranoid. Those log trucks are creepy.
hmmm..makes me want to email death now. just a little
cross featured off your list..
well ~ your featured now it seems!
As for final destination, i love those movies ~ best horror movies ever simply because the scenarios are all freak accidents that could actually happen - but yes, i do get paranoid too...i sometimes wonder if my fear of rollercoasters is only the funny sensation it gives me or the movie...hehe
P.S. has death replied? (just jokin !)
That's a brilliant list. I was filling out my xanga profile (the travel section in particular), i thought up some nice places... but your list is way better. I might have to borrow some of those ideas.
I totally agree with the whole driving-behind-vehicles-carrying-things fear. When I was 15, I was driving on my permit and there was a truck that was carrying big pipes, and one of them was loose and it came undone and crashed into my windshield. It was very scary
. I understand the paranoid thing. lol.
That being said, your list is fantastic. I like how being featured on xanga is of definite importance.
I get paranoid behind work trucks too.
I always cut lanes. And I avoid trucks that don't have mudguards, because I don't want them to kick a rock up chip my windshield.
hahaha! now you're featured! DEATH IS LOOMING!
I call it "Final Destination Syndrome."
And I suffer from it too xD
Well, now I don't feel as stupid since I know that someone else changes lanes when they're behind a truck like that; thanks!
&&kudos for getting featured, no idea how you do that.
Hehe
Haha I was paranoid BEFORE seeing all the final desination movies, so after seeing all of them I'm like a thousands times wrose. Anyways, love all of your tasks you want to complete (: Good luck !
Why are you so scared? God will let you die when he thinks its time and not before and theres nothing you can do about it. But until then live life to its fullest.
haha i totally do that when driving too
Final Destination is the reason why I also fear those things....at least now I know I'm not alone! =]
FD Two and Three were horrible. The first one was just mildly horrible. I think about freak accidents all the time, you're not alone.
the toilet water does not go counterclockwise in Australia...it kinda goes straight down...different flushing mechanisms
i watched final destination three the night before going to a theme park with my friends. i was horrified.
i've only seen the third one and now whenever i go on a rollar coaster i'm always really skeptical about it. or if someone i know is in the tanning beds and it shuts on them suddenly. i completely understand where you're coming from
I found this entry very morbidly cute. so props for that. ^^
<3
you also have yet to sleep with NDM... and its never gonna happen sucka.
Well, you got featured. You could probably die now. All the other stuff is gravy, really.
I haven't seen that movie, but whenever I walk home from school, I'm always super-cautious of cars because even though I choose not to drive, a bunch of people on the road are idiots.
haha that was tight.
That movie freaks me out too.
I have the same in my list "see Coldplay" - lol =)
i saw final destination 3 the night before i went to Gread Adventure Six Flags [which happens to have KingDaKa, the tallest roller coaster EVER]. in case you didnt know, the freak accident in fd3 was a rollercoaster going horribly wrong...
ah. the consequent fear i had the next day riding all those coasters was sweet.
hahaha omggg i have the exact same fear!!! everywhere i go I'll be liek wHAT IF!??! and then i start thinking about different scenerios of how a freak accident can start...
and dude I have almost the sameee list!!! lol best wishes with ur bucket list
=]
How about systematically working through that list? would you feel death coming knocking as you strike off the last item...? There's a book in that life y'know
I wouldn't go tanning for weeks after seeing that movie...
Wait a second... Death has an e-mail address? Really...? Hmmm...
I liked the reference to Robert Frost, btw. =]
i saw all the final destinations and it never occured to me that i should write a letter to death. my letter will be just like yours, especially the procrastination part. awesome post!!v^_^v
I've always loved all the final destinations
lol...I love this entry!!!
Since seeing Final Destination I've been afraid of freak accidents at railroad crossings...
This is a good exercise. I might try it, too. Thanks!
but... i thought you loved me! i thought you truly loved me! /heartbreaks
in the second one when the boy is at the dentist and the fish falls in his mouth and he dies......yeah one time i was at the dentist and they had fish hanging and the lady is like im gona be right back so i was like umm wait and shes like yeah so i asked her if the fish have ever fallen or anything and shes like no and she looked at me like i was werid and i told her about the movie and how that just made me a little scared
so yeah your not the only one
Thanks for the email.
I'll add it to my contacts list.
=)
I have been terrified of trucks carrying logs ever since I watched that movie. I literally cannot drive behind them anymore.
go here xanga.com
this was sooooooooooooo funny.
lol i actually speed past trucks too after seeing that movie. i actually passed one with logs just like the one in the movie before..it was weird because a truck with logs is not something typical around where im from.
better safe than sorry, by watching the movie you gained insight on what may potentially happen. Can't blame you for avoiding trucks
dude- i do the same thing. last weekend my boyfriend was driving and we were behind a truck w/logs. i just looked at him and said "um..." and he passed the truck. it was insane. haha. i'm over paranoid too, but i guess when its our time...its our time.
ha, my lil sis was scared to death after the two chicks were killed in the tanning beds. (she's an assistant manager at a tanning salon) She didn't tan for at least 2 months after.
I think I've actually heard that the water-spinning thing is false.
But don't worry, you'll get to the rest just fine. (Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.)
I'm like that too... I paranoid about sitting under an overhead hanging sign because I fear it would unhinch, swing down and kill me, all because of the last scene in Final Destination.
Yeah if we aren't careful we could be like those kids in that movie or NHL center Joe Sakic. Oh wait he's still alive. But who knows. Maybe Death is still on his trail.
Yay- I love those movies, but yeah for like a week after I watch one I walk around on my toes, turning 360 degrees as I walk, llooking for a shadow to warn me of my doom.. I even do stupid things like put away the scissors and bubble wrap sharp corners and things... (no i dont really bubble wrap corners-- If I had bubble wrap i would be popping it, not using it for safety
) But I guess in the end you can't cheat death, as these cinematic masterpieces have tought us--
Oh well,
LIVE IT UP today
So death replied back? Was he nice?
Great post. Very thought provoking! No matter how old or experienced you are, however, there's always more stuff to do. Just do as much as you can, while you can, and be careful about driving near logging trucks or riding on rollercoasters.
lol...I have to admit ever since I saw that stupid scene in FD2 I've tried to stay away from log trucks.
lol The Final Destinations totally ruined it for me. Freaky deaths. Very funny list. I hope you accomplish all those in the next 60 years or so
yepp, that movie did that to me too
I thought you needed 6 characters as your g-mail account name... I guess not anymore!
haha. good luck with that. i hope none of us meet death anytime soon!
@reirey -
I think it'd be cool if wutuwaitn4 can post death's reply too!
I feel the same way about trucks with large objects that are held down by a chain or something! It's bad enough worrying about things like 9/11 when it comes to airplanes without even thinking about Final Destination 1 as well. And I haven't been on a roller coaster since I've seen Final Destination 3 either. I haven't been avoiding them, I just don't live near an amusement park and they don't have any at our state fair so I haven't had the chance to ride one but I'm not sure that I would like to. They were never really my favorite thing to begin with.
I feel the same way about dying so early as well. I'm only 16 and there's definately a lot of things in life that I haven't experianced yet and it worries me so much when I hear about all these drunk driving accidents lately. I personally don't drink, and I usually don't have any reason to be out driving late, but just the chances of it happening freaks me out.
But anyway, great post! Glad you got to be featured on Xanga.
Try Watching Final Destination 3 and then be able to go on the Roller Coaster at Playland in Vancouver that they used to Film the movie without thinking about dying. Now that will Freak you out. With Final Destination 2 it was filmed Just outside of Victoria in BC, If you drive the Highway it really freaks you out.
I have that exact same problem. I won't drive behind trucks carrying heavy loads. In fact, when I'm waiting for a train to pass by, I panic and think "What if a piece of metal flies out and chops off my head?" xD Oh man, and don't get me started on rollercoasters.
I do the same exact thing, especially when there are logs on the truck.
My friend and I just watched Final Destinations 1 & 2 a few weekends ago. We composed a series of questions we're going to ask death when we die
that's all that's remaining for you to do?? you list isn't too bad then!!! hahahaha j/k
haha nice and now you're featured on xanga...just to let you know, seeing coldplay live is probably the best thing in the world. you should go do that. it changed my life.
ps- final destination scared the crap out of everyone, no worries. and making the parents proud is pretty difficult, but that's on my to-do list as well
One of the youth pastors at my old church died that way. I never drive near semis either, especially when its raining x__x
i've been super paranoid because of those damn movies too. >.<
so i can definetly relate.
i was about to say...i just read this yesterday...
holy fack, u got featured haha
it's a sign, death is cutting your life short
you're making it too easy for him.
watch, next week you'll see coldplay
then the week after that you got sky diving...
in about 6 months you'll be driving down a road with your true love in the car...
then >BAM< metal pipes from the truck in front of you shoots through your windshield and right through your skull
im telling you... it's a sign
i feel the exact same way. after watching that movie, i could not watch any of the others. all i can think about is a waterbottle getting stuck under my brake and a tree smashing through my head. paranoid? oh yes.
I used to be paranoid after watching that movie, but I've gotten better at it. Oh and by the way, you got featured! That's how I was able to read this entry ^_^...plus my friend roadlesstaken showed me your site. Hope you accomplish more goals!
i fear i will get trapped in a tanning bed and burn to death.. although they do turn off eventually...
Does he reply?
final destination has always made me incredibly paranoid, so youre not alone.
ive always been scared of things on back of trucks flying through the windsheild. the 3rd final destination scared me even more though.
by the way, see coldplay asap, they're absoutely amazing in concert.
the number of completion is 9 and i've heard that most people die at 27. 2+7=9
That's a great list. I get that same feelingh passing by trucks, even if they're the enclosed kind. I feel like they'll swerve and push me off the road or just tip onto me. Irrational, I know.
When I watched that movie I was paranoid for 3 years.
I saw it in 7th grade and didn't get over it till the beginning of my Junior year.
xD
it's good to be paranoid about things! i'm also the paranoid type.
for me it's better to be safe than sorry. it's kind of like girls thinking they won't be able to get pregnant because of the 'pull out method' and that it probably won't happen to them- when it does! you never know. if it's not 100% accurate, it doesn't matter to me. there's still a chance it will happen to me. right? that's why i prefer to be paranoid rather than ignorant about it.
great blog by the way
Haha, this is pretty funny. You must be pretty damn paranoid.
But wow, you want another 60 more years in life? That means you'll be like 86 +... i'm good with just living until late 60's or early 70's... 'coz living any longer than that, i'll probably turn from a milf into a miserable, lonely, USELESS, grumpy grandma, hahahahaha. Jokes.
Yeah, watching those Final Destination movies have made me excessively paranoid as well. I remember this elevator scene from one of them, where this girl gets decapitated. Now whenever I'm in an elevator, I have to leap out ASAP because I fear that if I don't, I'll die. Plus I do the car thing...
I disagree with Nhi214 over love. It's one of the greatest things you'll experience in life, and once you do, you'll forever be grateful that THAT special person is in your life.
oh my gosh, after watching that movie, i was scared to take a shower, where who knows i might slip and choke myself to death with the hose.
Once I got stuck with a big truck behind me, infront of me, and in the lane next to me. I seriously considered using the breakdown lane to pass them.
I love it (=
Oh, my gosh! Watching Final Destination was one of my worst decisions ever. Every time I hear a train coming I cringe.
Hehe. How funny!
I don't drive behind vehicles carrying things either.
one time when i sped up to pass a truck, i was doing 80 and he cut me off. then his tire exploded and i ran over most of it. in a firebird. still doing 80. that wasnt cool at all.
and I thought I was the only one who got paranoid from movies...
nice list, and hey, it can't hurt to write to death, right?
When I watched the movie, the very next day I was behind a log truck. By god, I was passing it!!! Even when they have 2x4s or something that could project itself through my windshield I'm going around. I think the worst though is getting behind metal drainpipes- they load them exactly the same as logs. I can't even imagine. && for the longest time I was wary of closing the tanning bed the whole way-- and of course rollercoasters. I still continue to live my life- but yes that movie did have any impact on me!!
Congrats! you got featured! =]
"Don't fear the reaper"
The best we can do is smile back at Death.
After all; Death is only the beginning-- it's the high cost of living.
My Mum always gets freaked out, being behind trucks where the goods being transported could go flying off in some Final Destination sort of way... how annoying.
I think I saw on Ripley's Believe It Or Not a person surviving a pole to the head! And I thought I was the only one paranoid about driving behind trucks.
LOL!! niiiccee! hahaha. i've watched all three Final Destination movies.
they didn't really make me paranoid.
i love your letter though! hahahah, it's funny and
i can relate to it because i'd like to do a lot of those things too!
Coldplay?!
Dude, ive watched all the final destination films and the road scenes always freak me out. That movie gets me so paranoid. It's scary cause death can happen at any time you know. The worst was watching the FIRST one the DAY before i had to travel...man, i was sweating bullets to go on the plane lol. I know what u mean man...scary. But hey, congrats on being featured and showing your insight on things. Life is short, don't worry TOO much about things else you're "wasting time" so to speak. Thought i'd also share this with you:
Three Things Come Not Back
Remember three things come not back
The arrow sent upon its track-
It will not swerve, it willnot stay
Its speed;it flies to wound, or slay.
The spoken word so soon forgot
By thee;but it has perished not;
In other hearts 'tis living still
And doing work for good or ill.
And the lost opportunity
That comethback no more to thee,
In vain thou weepest,in vain dost yearn
Those three will nevermore return.
i thought i was crazy but i guess not because i get scared driving behind trucks with anything that can fly off and strike me right in the middle of my heart, too! haha. =) oh, final destination... damn that movie..
HAHA. hello. i only saw fd1 and didn't bother about watching part 2 and 3. EEEKK! reminds me of happy tree friends.
Final Destination DID make me paranoid. Not so much about being killed in a freak accident, it made me wonder which one I avoided in the FIRST place!
LOL! I was so considering making that email .. death@gmail.com .. then i realized that you needed six characters for an acct. LOL
after i seen Final Destination 1, the one and first scene that clearly stuck in my head was the plane blowing up..after i watched the movie, and i'm in my house or anywhere else, if i hear a plane, i'd stop dead in my tracks and listen to hear if anything happens.
>LMAO< literally. I hate being behind trucks with logs. I hate being behind trucks period. I love your letter though
I should keep a letter in my car incase logs fall on my car and when Death comes to pick me up...maybe he'll read my letter and go away. lol
YAY you're featured!
nice that you have one item from the list successfully crossed already....
hopefully, it won't take too long for the next item to be crossed, and then the next, and the next...
otherwise, you'd experience true love when others the same age as you have already going to attend their grandchildren's weddings....
I really like that you ended your letter to death with 'Kthanxbai'. XDD
my favorite from ur list is : 'I have yet to stalk Steve Carell and tell him "That's what she said!"
gyabo!
lol bro, coldplay?!? nice entry and congrats on being featured!!
I simply cannot watch that movie. My mother calls me into the room when its on just to watch me wince. She dragged me to the second one, and I quite literally sobbed during the horrific car pile-up scene. Sobbed. Yes.
You're not alone.
WICKED!
Cupid is definitely on your side for now! Look at the amount of comments from the ladies! Boy oh boy! HAHAS
Haha, if I wrote my list for Death, it would probably confuse him. I would definitely have stalking Steve Carell on it though.
One of mine is: I have yet to be able to play a DDR song on the expert level!
1. I get overly paranoid every time I watch those movies, yet I think it's really intricate, all the events that occur one after another to cause their deaths. Therefor, I watch them.
2. Steve Carell is my absolute favorite. Tell him I said hello.
3. Congrats on scratching off something from the list!
haha i do think final destination has some sorta enlightenment effect though, at least we know we are finite and we are really forced to think about what we wanna do in life/how to make life meaningful
which isnt a bad thing i suppose
ohh you got featured wuwu
Forgot to comment last time but thanks for the heads up. I didn't watch part 2 yet or other sequels of it since everything seems to have sequels nowadays. And that's freaky. You have a vivid imagination there.
Just more to ponder. As if there wasen't enough to already think about!!!!
lol, i was paranoid a bit after watching the movie. the part with the ladder going into the eye was UGH for me...
have u seen the last one? that was just weird haha
but nice email. u're not old, don't worry.. it's good you made a list ^^
haha i totally know what u mean haha!
final destination made me seriously paranoid for awhile too. and i also hate driving behind trucks that have stuff tied to them. it freaks me out. i can totally relate!
who still uses xanga how awesome hahah
For real though I though I was the only one... the two freak accidents that scared me the most was when the girl got hit by a bus after stepping off the crib, and the scene in the bathroom where I think the guy slipped and fell and got hung or something like that… L
i love coldplay! yay!
and watch out for that computer virus!
Yeah - FD has always made me a little paranoid since I'd first seen it. I think the third one freaked me out worst though - especially since I love rollercoasters. They kind of killed that for me.
when i see log trucks on the highway i always pull ahead of them. i know exactly how you feel. haha.
I love this....i agree too...i have way to many things to do before i die!...i hope you accomplish all of yours...
Jen
I've been paranoid ever since Final Destination, too.
i lovee.
My little cousin was "Death's Cheerleader" for Halloween this year. Somehow you ending your letter to Death with "Kthanxbai" reminded me of that. As we say in these parts...
"Yooz axin farrit!"
haha, the final destination series are amusing at best...definitely not realistic. in the heat of the moment while watching, intense i admit.
and P.S. riding an elephant in thailand has its ups...AND downs!
ahhs. that;s a nice post you wrote there. i think i might do something like that too. recently, some girl from my friend;s high school got hit by a bus and died. :[ the driver was charged with failure to yield and stuffs. my other friend became impacted by it so much, she says. she says that she;ll cherish life more.
it should always be cherished. ^_^
@Vitamin_D - yea, but it was a long time ago. i just remember the logs from the truck scene.
@mi1kandcerea1 - what did you bribe him with?
@emmalee1508 - i hope so too!
@Jenzies - nope, not yet. but i'll let you know when he does. =)
@sing_sweet - i'm glad you're ok!
@lilbilton04 - are you sure? i'm have a friend that lives in australia and she says it does.
@NDM - actually, i had you on my list at first, but i took you off. sorry, you didn't make the final cut.
@karinski45 - i'm pretty sure it's true. i have a friend that lives in australia and she confirmed it.
@reirey - not yet....
@cral7616 - death is special. he can bend gmail's rules.
@DaDarkMagus - he does sometimes. but he hasn't replied to me yet...
@zhaoyun1122 - only death can make that email. he can bend gmail's rules.
lol i kno its been mentioned and you crossed it off, but you've been featured tons of times. thats how i found this blog, (a few years ago i might add) cus it was featured
Drivel
@slit_the_light - to back up my earlier comment, i take a quote from your post on aug 15, 2005 (i am an email packrat, thats all u need to know)
"i never thought i'd be saying this, but i'm going to take a little break from xanga. as of tomorrow, it will be exactly 5 months since my first appearance on featured content, and i've updated daily non-stop since then."
YEARS AGO, wuwu.
xanga fame made you spacey.
I know how you feel, i get paranoid walking under signs One of the characters in the 3rd movie (I think) got decapitated by a road sign falling on him :S *shivers*
@wutuwaitn4 - If you think about it, in a way he has since the first thing on your list is crossed off ~ he's working on it ;o
i love how modest you are about the featured business.
I enjoyed the Final Destination movies (except the third one). Despite the fact that they all got bad reviews, I loved the first two and think they're great movies. I totally understand where you're coming from, a few years ago my mom barely dodged a log falling off of a truck on the interstate. Freak accidents happen. There's a 4th Final Destination movie coming out, I'm looking forward to it.
Sometimes I wonder if Death likes his job( I guess he does, if he didn't he would have revolted with Lucifer, and the rest of the angels that became demons) Death gets blamed for alot of things, but to one who is ill or tired of life, he is like a ray of sun to a flower. Death is a part of the natural order of things. I once was of a mind to invite him soon, but I'll wait until God is ready to send him, I just hope, like the horse in"prayers from the Ark" that I get a gentle death, when the time comes.
haha, i love how you and death seem so pally!
haha, yea, I always make sure we're not behind anyone carrying anything on the road...be they pick-ups or semis, couches or beams of steel LOL
and I've never seen "Final Destination" in its entirety...I just watch/read way too many scary news stories, and I browsed ogrish.com and rotten.com wayyyy too much in college. oops.
i love your blog, btw.
good list 1 down, 9 to go!
considering I almost died in a car accident this summer
your post is really making me rethink where my life is going.
actually death is not all that scary- life is sometime scarier
flying sharp objects definitely freak me out. also..awwww..you haven't been in love? i hope you do experience that soon, it's woundrous feeling! *sigh*
dude i watched the 3rd one and i have now been afraid of evlavators for like a year
I've had long discussions with friends about our outrageously ideal Final Destination deaths. Truly an interesting conversation if you ever have it with someone. You tend to hear a lot of people choosing to get sucked through an airplane engine or even burning in a hot air balloon. My death of choice, however, was to get struck by lightning in an electrical storm while pole vaulting on a hill in a suit of armor.
Sometimes when I am driving, I imagine my car just blowing up. It scares me a lot when I think this......
Yeah. I used to think about that too. That was when I lived in Connecticut. Not too many logging companies there.
Then I moved out to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. You can't go anywhere without being around one. Lucky me!
haha this blog is so cute
haha xD
yup I'm paranoid now, too. just because of those crazy movies. especially on rollercoasters & driving over bridges-which i don't think was in the movie, but still i get scared
haha! nice. no matter how insanely impossible the possibility of final destination scenes are likely to happen, i get scared too. a lot. haha. there. you gots featurred, yoo.
TheTheologian has an amazing way with words.
@wutuwaitn4 - yes, i'm sure. i live in australia. you push a button and the water comes from all sides...it doesn't really swirl at all, at least in sydney.
Don't worry about death so much, it'll make living less worth it.
I'm normally fine, but I can get really paranoid if I suddenly thought about something non-sensical. And I can get so paranoid that I want to do a sort of will post telling people what to do if a freak accident did happen to me. But I always end up thinking it would be something too touchwood to do.
i just adore the final destination movies. i always wish that i could know the pattern of death for different people. but yeah i hate driving behind semis/trucks. hey if it makes you feel any better, when i first saw final destination 3 i was so freaked out by the tanning bed scene that the next day(which happened to be friday the 13th) me and my friends went tanning so that we wouldn't be worried about that happening(not like i am a tanorexic or anything, i actually hate tanning, but it was just for the sake of proving the movie wrong)and i am perfectly fine haha although it was freaky.
@cApNhOwDy - ooooh when is the 4th coming out? i am so stoked now
@ATOMIC_ash - August 21, 2009
I emailed death and told him if he was a person to change his email because it was dumb and unoriginal and if he really was death,i told him to EAT JESUS' DUST!
yeah it was funny. and i totally know how it feels to be freakishly paranoid, but one thing i don't understand is why everyone feels the need to skydive before they die. its not really that original, and many people do it all the time. to me, it doesn't seem like anything special.
straybullettttt- that sounds like a great way to die! I would want to die after I have achieved absolute peace. even though I am NOT Buddhist. Oh well, it still sounds cool.
Haha, I hate movies like FD2! I watched it and I was afraid to shower... and I started to hyperventilate in my elevator. Plus, I'm permanently scarred by the ladder scene.
